The new recruits of fashion and beauty brands are certainly diverse

Diversity in the fashion and beauty industry has never been more apparent. The recent recruits for campaigns range from K-pop singers to Hollywood actresses.

They come from various ethnicities and backgrounds, as well.

Here’s a look at the famous faces who were selected as ambassadors for major brands.

Get a whiff of him

Versace picked Chinese actor Li Xian as the fashion house’s fragrance ambassador for 2023. He stars in a dedicated campaign featuring the women’s Bright Crystal family of fragrances. In the publicity visual, Li Xian can be seen wearing Versace’s leather biker jacket from the Autumn/Winter 2022 collection and carrying the Versace Pour Homme scent.

Strumming his style

New York City-based jewellery brand David Yurman recently appointed Shawn Mendes as its ambassador. The singer-songwriter stars in the newest campaign alongside actress Scarlett Johansson, titled “Nature’s Artistry”.

Mendes is the second man to hold the post. Previously, David Yurman featured Malaysia’s Henry Golding in its ads.

A kick out of it

For Adidas, it is Jenna Ortega that is the No.1 choice. The actress, who has found monumental fame in television series Wednesday, will front the sportswear brand’s upcoming release. “I feel so honoured to become a part of this legendary family of changemakers and be the face of its all-new label. Can’t wait to show you guys,” reads her press statement.

New K-pop recruit

Nayeon of K-pop girl group Twice has landed her first major partnership in the style industry. She was recently named as Givenchy Beauty’s muse. She will reportedly front the brand’s makeup and perfume lines, bringing her vivacious energy to the table. Before Nayeon, Hometown Cha-cha-cha star Shin Min-a served as the brand’s muse two years ago.
